Into The Blue
Daniel J. van Ackere's recent work explores still images that literally and figuratively blur lines and explore figure-ground anomalies in the natural environment. Using combinations of carefully controlled exposure, focus, camera movement and color, he uses images to create environments that resonate on multiple levels.

Fort Point Winter Public Art SeriesFour public art pieces utilizing light will be on display during winters' darkest nights, from December 21-February 20.
Linda Leslie Brown's Fort Point ICE BOX is a glittering fantasy of crystal sculptures rotating in mirrored space. Sparkling with shifting sequences of colored light, the piece will be located at 12 Farnsworth Street, next to Made In Fort Point.
goodgood [Ben Gaydos & Karen Stein] and Owens Design [Colin Owens]:Winter Hue, an installation composed of 36 LED light modules illuminating a series of windows at the corner edge of 368 Congress Street. The installation creates an immersive experience of color and light that transforms the building into an aesthetic experience in celebration of the winter solstice. Thanks to Berkeley Investments and to Stanley Electric for technical support and supplies
Lisa Greenfield and Daniel van Ackere: Starry Night. Using 4800 blue LED lights, Starry Night creates the illusion of being under a starry sky. One aspect of city life is the rarity of a starlit sky and this project will evoke memories of crisp, cold air and midnight black skies, punctuated by brilliant blue-white stars. It will also serve to transform a dingy area that is frequently traversed by pedestrians into an enchanting public space. The project is located on A Street under Summer Street
